Understanding street art

image Some street art demand a certain knowledge to be understood properly. As I came back to my host last night he explained two of the pieces among the photos.

imageWhen the stadium was built for the European cup the state of Poland spent a hundred and fifty million euros on it. This is a reaction on the incredible amount of money that was spent on a stadium while a lot of people still lack proper housing and buildings are falling apart.

The next piece is also about the football. It was a polish artist who made a parody of the national football-anthem for the European cup. The parody is playing with a famous polish lullaby, I haven’t heard it and don’t know how to spell it but it’s something about “koko koko”.
