Yesterday we spent the morning walking along the beach in Lausanne, watching the triathlon competitors coming up from the lake getting on their bikes, running along the road.. Some looked as if they would rather join their audience but most of them had a glow of strength and determination in their eyes.
It was a nice walk for a couple of hours before we got our bags, said goodbye to our host and walked up the steep hills of the city – sweating madly – to find our next ride.
This morning I stayed in bed for the whole morning. I’m never able to do that at home and decided to grab the moment. The cars driving by during the night left me with very little peaceful sleep and I enjoyed the late morning and breakfast with crackers and nutspread more than ever.
Our host here in Valangin had a jar with mini cookies. They are all different and when expecting one with nuts you can just add well get one filled with strawberry jam. Always surprises, I love it.
