Did it all begin when I missed the train to the airport, or when I couldn’t check in onto my flight? No. It all began when the police in Italy kicked us out of our hitchhiking spot and made clear that all hitchhiking in Italy is forbidden, in All Italy.
Emma and I were gonna hitchhike to Chamonix, which is only three hours from Milan. Instead we ended up in a train and ten hours later we found ourselves in Ventimiglia. We bought a map and realized our mistake. We went to Nice and after twelve hours of travelling we found ourselves another 3 hours further away from Chamonix.
Organisational points: 0. We went back to hitchhiking.
A man brought us out of Nice centre to the same spot where Jiaxin and I started our trip to Madrid last year.
It was now 10 and we had to be in Chamonix for the start of our course at 9am the next day.
